The school district on the North Shore of Long Island is currently investigating claims that some instructors assisted kids in getting prepared for standardized testing in schools inappropriately. Inspectors questioned 18 educators from Glenwood Landing and Margaret A. Connolly Elementary Schools. According to Karen Ferguson, the head of the Glen Cove Teachers Association, disciplinary measures are likely to be taken against some of them.

On April 2, the situation at the Fulton County Jail where an action was brought against 35 educators was dubbed a cheating scandal in the US educational sphere. Beverly L. Hall, a former superintendent of the Atlanta school district, was in the spotlight. She and the other pedagogues were accused of having improved grades for standardized tests to obtain monetary bonuses. Dr. Hall could be set free on a $7.5 million bail but her attorney, David Bailey, managed to reduce the sum to $200,000. She was allowed to pay $150,000 by check and $50,000 in cash.

Robot Schooling for Sick Kids

A newly released Super Bowl ad depicts a sick student looking attentively into the computer monitor, while his face gets projected on a screen of a robot which features a camera scanning the school hallways. Though this ad’s plot resembles a piece of sci-fi, but one sick guy is being educated this way in West Seneca.

A second-grader, named Devon Carrow faces a slew of allergies, so he’s unable to attend school as other kids. However, he keeps on getting education with the help of a 4-foot robot rendering his picture on its monitor.
